Eastern European network operator Linxtelecom has further continued its investment in the data centre sector through the acquisition of Warsaw DC.  Although relatively small in size at the moment the centrally located Warsaw DC is well established, with access to all local carriers and furthermore has “rights” to expand to 900sq m.

GTS Central Europe, the Eastern European carrier created from the former KPNQwest network has announced further investment in their data centre facilities across the region.  Whilst this space can’t be considered carrier neutral the announcement nonetheless highlights the opportunities in this fast growing data centre market.

Eastern European carrier Linxtelecom has announced a significant increase in their new St Petersburg facility from an initial plan of 1MVA to now 3MVA and an upgrade in its overall standard from Tier2 to Tier3.  This would suggest the facility will be able to offer nearly 400 cabinets in total at 4kW each.
