What we do
We are specialist agents for colocation and hosting services and our typical transaction is for one up to 10 cabinets, or 2kW up to 50kW. We have though dealt in a single rack unit up to a 1MW requirement and often deal in part rack requirements as well.
Our extensive market knowledge and expertise means we help buyers find suitable suppliers quickly and easily, so saving them time and effort in doing their own research. Any search engine can easily provide an extensive list of possible providers, its knowing which are best suited for your particular needs is where our value proposition lies. We can usually provide a shortlist of suitable options after a brief chat to understand all the relevant issues, together with information about current availability and up to date pricing , all from a single call. We understand that a data centre requirement usually has to balance a range of issues and that usually the best option will be the balancing act of these interests. Our Buyers Guide outlines our approach.
How you benefit
We have over 10 years hands-on industry experience with a proven track record in closing deals. Our specialisation means we work with both small locally based hosting providers as well as the large regional facility operators so we really are the one-stop shop to review the market and options available. Buyers benefit from this approach as it helps them make an informed decison and avoids wasting time dealing with unsuitable vendors, whilst our supplier partners benefit from the highly qualified nature of any enquiries we refer to them.
Helping Buyers – We work very closely with our buy-side clients. Our aim is to give buyers a short manageable list of possible suppliers who are well suited to their needs as quickly and easily as possible. We do this through a simple consultation process, usually a phone call, meeting or email exchange, whereby we can ask a number of questions about the requirement. Once we understand all the relevant issues we can then make some recommendations.
Buyers benefit from our up to date market knowledge, so saving them the time and effort in doing their own market research when looking for potential suppliers. We know which operators are available, where and to what standards. In general, finding a long list of hosting or colocation providers is quite easy using search engines, you can get 100s of options, but its finding the right suppliers where our expertise and experience helps.
We can also offer specialist consultancy services to buyers, see below.
Helping Suppliers – our aim is to provide the best match of buyer and supplier as this way a transaction is most likely to happen. We are not interested in supplying huge numbers of poorly qualified leads. Our industry knowledge and experience means we can understand your proposition to the market and make sure its properly presented.
Consultancy – our knowledge and expertise means we can offer a range of consultancy services such as bespoke reports covering certain aspects of the market.
Consultancy for buyers - In some instances we also work with buyers on a consultancy basis, especially where they are interested in a written report or more involvement from us than our usual introductory model, for instance in helping prepare an RFP or helping to correlate and deal with RFP responses where the client perhaps has insufficient internal resource to do so.
Industry Investors - We provide independent industry perspectives to investors and other financial institutions either directly or through GLG.
