Ireland

Colo-X Description

With around 30,000 sq m of fitted out space the Irish data centre market is relatively small compared to the big four European leaders of London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Paris, but none the less attracts strong interest, especially from global corporate names keen to take advantage of the country's attractive corporate tax regime.   Microsoft, Ebay and Amazon have a large presence in the Dublin market, though mostly through their own self-built and operated facilities.

The data centre market is split between colocation providers who service the retail data centre market and larger wholesale operators.  The key colocation operators are  Data Electronics, Interxion, Telecity and Servcentric.  The two wholesale focused providers are Premier Data Centres and US REIT Digital Realty Trust.
