Level 3 are one of the largest network operators in the world and as such are considered a Tier1 IP backbone.  In Europe Level 3 built and run an extensive long haul network across 20 countries and also run metropolitan networks in 9 major European cities. When constructing the network in the height of the "dot-com" boom Level 3 built out hundred of thousands of square feet of colocation space, all of which is still operational today and typically available through Level 3 partners rather than directly, especially on a retail basis, ie racks and cages.  Level3 only deal directly with very large buyers.  We list most Level 3 facilities on this website together with information about local channel partners.
