Telehouse West Official Launch
May 18, 2010

Launch party reflects strong sales success of West

Telehouse hosted several hundred clients and friends at the official launch party on Tuesday 11th May.  Besides the usual speeches the Japanese tradition of literally cracking open a barrel of sake was performed by the attending dignitaries amongst whom can be seen John Souter, CEO of LINX, the London Internet Exchange and Mr Mitsui and Managing Director of Telehouse Europe.

It is worth remembering some of the details of West.  The first phase of release is two floors of 1000 sq m each, (just over 10,000 sq ft each).   One floor is designated as colocation, to be sold as individual cabinets of which there are 400 in total and the other is configured as individual rooms of 10-13 cabinets each, so on this floor because of the walls, there are only 300 cabinets of capacity available.  Cabinets can run up to 6kW each.

Our current estimate is that there are only some 100 -150 cabinet foot prints left out of Phase 1 and on this basis there is no doubt that our early prediction that West will be strong performer looks well founded.   Our prediction was made on the basis that West would offer a strong combination of power (or specification), quality and the unparalleled connectivity choice that Telehouse’s Docklands campus can offer.
