Digital Realty Foxboro Park was originally launched as a standard wholesale data centre solution, aimed at large scale customers taking large capacity on a long term leasehold basis. However, DRT’s focus is now shifting towards retail colocation alongside their traditional wholesale approach – especially since the acquisition of eight European data centres from Telecity/Equinix in 2016. In Redhill, colocation rack space for smaller users is now available from various service providers, so options exist for customers taking one rack up to larger spaces of 1MW or more (subject to availability).

Given that it opened in 2008 (and as such was one of the earliest M25-based London data centres) the carrier list is reasonable, with the large-scale customers pulling in the likes of COLT, Lelve3, BT, Virgin and Verizon. All in all, the DRT Foxboro Park data centre offers a typically high standard facility as you would expect from one of the largest global data centre operators in a convenient location just outside London’s M25 motorway.

Digital Realty Trust Redhill facility description

Foxborough Park is located just to the north-east of Redhill, just outside the M25 and west of the M23 motorway. London’s Gatwick Airport lies some 6 miles to south. Transport links with central London are therefore excellent.

The park comprises modern low-rise warehousing with office space to the front. Six large-scale data suites are available within the building, offering a total of 54,000 sq ft of net technical capacity or just under 8MW of customer power.

On-site carriers are Colt, Global Crossing, BT, Virgin Media and Verizon.
