12 Liverpool Road, Slough SL1 4QZ
Colo-X analysis
CyrusOne LONI (or LON1) was originally opened by Zenium in early 2017 as a two storey, wholesale data centre, designed to be sold to just a few or even a single large occupier.
CyrusOne own and operate five London data centres, of which four are on the Slough Trading Estate and one in Hayes (acquired from Infinity in 2015), along with a legacy suite in the DRT Woking site. In total CyrusOne provide some 67MW of capacity in the UK market. They are very much a wholesale data centre operator, selling large scale solutions to the largest buyers under long term contracts or leases.
Retail colocation users, taking part-racks, racks or caged areas should consider other facilities within the Slough Trading Estate – contact Colo-X for best options.
CyrusOne LON1 Slough facility description
CyrusOne are an established data centre operator with over 50 facilities worldwide. As such we should expect a high standard of design and build to at least Tier 3 standard.
CyrusOne acquired UK based Zenium Data Centres in 2018 for USD$442m, before themselves being “taken private” for USD$15bn in March 2022 by KKR and GIP. Interestingly they appointed former MD of Equinix Europe Eric Schwartz as CEO in September 2022.
