Colo-X analysis
DataVerge is Colo-X’s main New York and East Coast USA partner. They they offer a range of managed colocation solutions starting from as little as a quarter rack out of their Brooklyn, New York data centre.
Quarter, half and full racks or more can be combined with inclusive network ports where required. All clients benefit from DataVerge’s superb on-site support. This is especially important for clients not located in the area or overseas.
Colo-X has a growing list of references with DataVerge. As a rough guide on costs, clients can expect to pay in US$ what they pay in GBP£ in the UK, so relatively speaking great value.
The data centre is located over the eighth and ninth floors of 882 3rd Avenue Brooklyn. It has been in operation since 2010, with around 250 clients ranging from quarter racks up to hundreds of kW.
With many facilities in Manhattan struggling with power and high charges, DataVerge’s no recurring fees for cross-connects is an added bonus for smaller users.

Today it offers 6 million sq ft of mixed-use office, artists’ studios and retail space over 26 buildings, including 882 3rd Avenue. DataVerge run a dark-fibre network across the estate connecting back to the data centre with around 600 users.
