Telehouse Metro, 65 Clifton Street, London, EC2A 4JE
Colo-X analysis
Telehouse’s Metro data centre was a small-scale colocation facility just north of Liverpool Street. Due to its age, power per cabinet was pretty light; some footprints can be found with 20Amps, although usually single power feed. The site suited those looking for a convenient location in that area. However, capacity overall was limited. Colo-X understand that Telehouse were no longer renewing contracts and that the facility was closed by end of 2020.
Facility description
Telehouse Metro, London is in a shared office building with the data centre occupying the ground and first floors. It opened around 1999, so power density is light by modern standards.
There is good network choice, however, due to its proximity to the City and the London Stock Exchange data centre. It was also open and available at the height of the dotcom boom. Mostly overlooked these days, this is still a well-run site with a big operator behind it. As mentioned above, we expect it to be closed by end of 2020.
