The wide variety and scale of some of our recent deals serves to illustrate the breadth and depth of our industry knowledge, as well as the benefits of our consultative approach in working with buyers to fully understand all aspects of their needs before making supplier recommendations.

Whether its price, power, quality, network choice, convenience or a combination thereof our industry experience and expertise allows us to quickly and easily narrow down the range of options and allow the buyer to focus on a short, manageable list of suitable suppliers.  With a host of new entrants about to add yet more choice and complexity to the industry, our role of independent, specialist agents continues to save buyers valuable time and energy undertaking their own research and vendor analysis.

For obvious reasons we cannot provide company details but are always able to provide customer references on request.

  • Various dedicated servers and small part rack deals in Frankfurt, Paris and London
    • Shopzilla takes Windows based dedicated servers in Paris and Frankfurt
    • We found a specialist Apple/Unix hosting supplier for Zero Downtime Property in Paris
    • 10U colocation in Bracknell for a locally based company
    • Variety of part rack deals in Telehouse North ranging from 5U to half a rack

  • 3 racks in London City for health care services company – our buyer needed more scope for expansion (especially power per rack), improved quality and were also bothered about easier access to their equipment.  As a result we focussed on facilities closer to their offices and after discussing both the quality of these options as well as the power capabilities we made a couple of introductions.  As a result we closed a three rack deal including Internet capacity that went live in early September.

  • 3 racks in Reading for online photo library – our client had four racks in a Docklands based data centre but were limited on power and costs were high, so they decided to move most of their high power storage equipment out of central London, keeping a single rack in situ for high availability data and network access.  After presenting a number of out of London options to the customer they went with an extremely competitive supplier in Reading with the added bonus of more convenient access from their Midlands offices.  Deal closed September.

  • 64kW in Manchester – our buyer was originally looking for a new site near their offices in Leeds but in particular were looking to improve their choices for network access compared with their existing provider.  After discussing what options were available locally in Leeds it became apparent that Manchester seemed the best compromise in terms of convenient access yet significantly enhanced network choice and after presenting all the alternatives in that market a deal was closed in August.

  • Consultancy on 6 rack/30kW requirement – our client wanted help and advice to produce a working shortlist of service providers.  Having sent an RFP to over 20 companies our customer was simply swamped with the level and detail of responses.  Our client’s needs were somewhat complicated by different short term and long terms needs, a desire to seek managed services, a preferred network provider and a pressing time constraint caused by an office relocation.  Under NDA we spent two days in their offices reviewing the responses and produced a strengths and weaknesses analysis that allowed our customer to settle on a shortlist of four vendors who were then invited to participate in the next stage of the process.  Our market knowledge on industry practices and standards helped the client compare like with like and provide fair play to the process.
